Mass Transit
The Long Island Rail Road has direct service to Greenport as does the Sunrise Coach Line. Each service starts out in Manhattan. We will arrange to pick you up at the Shelter Island Ferry House.

Auto
North Route ~ 495 to very end - Route 58 through Riverhead to Northville Turnpike - Left onto Northville Turnpike and drive to the end of it, to Sound Avenue - Right on Sound Avenue and drive for about 20 minutes - Right on Chapel Road and follow signs to the Shelter Island Ferry.

Air
Inquire about flights at Long Island McArthur Airport in Islip and East Hampton Airport.

Boat
The Ram's Head Inn has moorings for boating guests on a first-come, first served basis.

On the Island
North Ferry - Greenport - Route 114 South past Mobil gas station - Left near top of the hill onto Winthrop Road - Right turn onto Cobbets Lane to dead end - Left turn then first right turn over causeways to INN.

South Ferry - North Haven - Route 114 North to traffic fork - Straight on Cartright Road to stop sign - Right turn on Ram Island Drive - Right turn over causeways to INN.
