The Long Island Rail Road has direct service to Greenport as does the Sunrise Coach Line. Each service starts out in Manhattan. We will then arrange to pick you up at the Shelter Island Ferry House, though some may wish to walk, the Chequit Inn is just up the hill from the ferry.

North Route ~ 495 to very end - Route 58 through Riverhead to Northville Turnpike - Left onto Northville Turnpike and drive to the end of it, to Sound Avenue - Right on Sound Avenue and drive for about 20 minutes - Right on Chapel Road and follow signs to the Shelter Island Ferry.

By Air
Inquire about flights at Long Island McArthur Airport in Islip and East Hampton Airport.

By Boat
The village dock is a short walk from the Chequit Inn.

From Within Shelter Island
North Ferry - Greenport - Route 114 South approximately 1/4 mile. You can't miss it!

South Ferry - North Haven - Route 114 North across the island. Pass the Mobil gas station, and at the top of the hill, turn right onto Grand Avenue. The Chequit Inn is just short distance on your left.
